How Does Cloud Clusters Work
In Cloud Clusters, applications are created and deployed in Docker containers that will run on the Kubernetes platform. The Kubernetes offer things like auto-scaling, health checks, and load balancing to manage the whole lifecycle of all the containers. And you are able to manage your applications through our self-developed Control Panel. In the meantime, we save your application data with the latest CEPH storage technology to offer high reliability.
Kubernetes: Kubernetes is a powerful container management tool that automates the deployment and management of containers.
Docker: Docker is an open-source lightweight containerization technology. It makes it easier to create, deploy, and run applications with the use of containers.
CEPH: Red Hat® Ceph® Storage is an open, massively scalable, simplified storage solution for modern data pipelines.
By adopting these technologies, we aim to provide quality and cost-effective SaaS for you. Here are some benefits of our architecture:
Ease of use
The Control Panel is a web-based tool that allows clients to manage their hosting services in one place. It has all of the basic functions that you need, such as database and user management, file manager, database connection tools, etc. We continuously improve it to facilitate your application management.
High security
Containers are isolated from each other, which provides high security for your application. When other containers crash, or applications within them fail, the container running your application can continue to run as usual. In the meantime, your application data is protected with the Ceph storage system with the use of erasure coded pools. It is a data protection mechanism wherein the data is broken into small fragments, encoded, and subsequently stored distributedly.
Less overhead
Containers take up fewer system resources and allow better resource utilization than traditional or hardware virtual machine environments as they don’t require an operating system. Also, Kubernetes has built-in features like self-healing and automated rollouts/rollbacks, effectively managing the containers, which reduces the operational overhead. We can pass the savings on to our valued clients.
High scalability
Kubernetes make it easy to scale up and down the resources for your containers. You can upgrade/downgrade your plan or resources depending on your needs. These operations take only one click and could be done in seconds.
Agile application deployment
Cloud Clusters supported applications, including all of the bins and libraries, are packaged up into small container images. With these preinstalled images and deployment instructions being passed to Kubernetes, applications could be deployed or upgraded in a matter of minutes, even seconds.
